My name is Jose Castillo and I am a geek translator.

I enjoy standing between geeks and people with money and helping them both communicate effectively.

I have been a passionate entrepreneur, geek and innovator for my entire life. From my first company selling t-shirts in the halls of Science Hill High School to my latest venture offering upscale co-working space, I have pursued big dreams and encouraged others to do the same. I started the first geek dinner in the South in 2005 bringing together 50-100 tech professionals once a month, created the first business ideas pitch competition in the region and I have launched multiple organizations and events to help encourage innovation, ideas and entrepreneurs. I currently write, speak and consult on innovation, technology and marketing to companies and groups around the world.

Recent spicy projects include breaking 2 Guinness World Records with 165,000 of my closest friends, being a contributing editor for a global tech publishing group and playing latin percussion in my latin jazz combop Frito Puente.

Jose is married to his wonderful wife Shannon, has 2 beautiful daughters, and loves living in the mountain south.
